Cashmere is an outer suburb of the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. It is on the north-western outskirts of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The origin of the suburb name is from an early property owner by the name of James Cash. Cashmere is located near the foothills of the D'Aguilar Range surrounded by dense forest. Cashmere is bounded to the north by Lake Samsonvale and is located west of Warner. ==Demographics== In the 2011 Census the population of Cashmere is 4,651, 49.7% female and 50.3% male.
